Dr. Jagannath Patnaik is currently working as Vice-Chancellor ICFAI University, Sikkim. Dr. Patnaik, the name itself is the powerful vibrations of the ultimate of a highly charismatic, altruistic pioneer of a persona, a distinguished academician, an eminent author, a renowned management expert, and an effective administrator with varied experience in educational research, academic administration, and industry that matches the need of the hour. To add the cherry on top, Dr. Patnaik has established a number of educational institutions in medical, dentistry, engineering, and management including public schools in the country and overseas from concept to commissioning combining our rich cultural heritage while adopting best practices in education from all over the world.

He is best known as a Globetrotter, an erudite, compassionate vanguard, and a multi-faceted genius in this part of the world. This highly evolved altruist holds within him the seeds of ideal humaneness which would make him a true infracaninophile. Dr. Patnaik has exhibited extensive trans-national exposure and has been associated with several multilateral organizations like the International Organization for Educational Development, the World Human Rights Council, the Confederation of Education Excellence, etc. He has been regularly designing several Skill Development Training Programmes for students, corporate executives, and Government officials in India and abroad.
Dr. Patnaik has achieved many landmarks in a short span. He has set many benchmarks in the world of chaos and crisis. Dr. Patnaik made his foray into the domain of Education at a senior level in his early days. He has served as the Registrar and Director of Distance Education in the Sikkim Manipal University of Health, Medical and Technological Sciences; Director, Maharishi Institute of Management, Director, Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Director, Vinayak Missions Research Foundation, Director and Vice President Manipal Academy of Higher Education and Manipal Education and Medical Group (MEMG) and Registrar of Academic, International Medical and Technological University, Dar-es-Sallam, Tanzania. Since then he has been moving from strength to strength.
He became the Pro-Chancellor of Singhania University and Secretary-General of Confederation of Indian Universities an inter-exchange and research forum of Indian Varsities. His expertise in education has created a platform to advise many esteemed organizations like The British Medical Journal; Advisor, Pharmaceutical Advisory Forum, Government of India, Aptech Computer Education; Society of Business Practitioners, England; ICFAI University Projects and International Management Centre, Australia, Currently, Dr. Patnaik is serving as Vice-Chancellor of Kalinga University, Raipur since 2011. Besides he is actively occupied in human rights advocacy, women empowerment, International relations, Education & creating career awareness among youths with the concept "catch them young" throughout the world.

Further, acknowledging the outstanding services to the education and world peace and its progressive leadership, Dr. Patnaik has been adorned with Doctorate of Laws D. Laws (Honoris Causa) from Global Peace University, the Netherlands and Doctorate of Literature D. Litt. (Honoris Causa) from The Global Open University for World Peace, Italy.
He has shown his clout by receiving the Outstanding Leadership Award for his achievement in representing the Middle East Peace Process by the United Nations University- International Leadership Academy, Jordan, and Ambassador of Peace award by the International Association of Educators for World Peace, USA. Last year, in grateful recognition of his magnificent and multifaceted contributions to the education development, Dr. Patnaik received the honor 'Doctorate of Philosophy' (Honoris Causa) by Victoria Global University, Turks (British Common Wealth Countries).

This year due to his incessant magnetic personality and to honor his exceptional career achievements and contributions to education development, Dr. Patnaik received the recognition of Doctorate of Science (Honoris Causa) by The Desh Bhagat University, Fathegarh Sahib, Punjab, and Doctorate of Philosophy (Honoris Causa) by OPJS University, Churu, and Rajasthan.
